About Us
MSC Aggie Leaders of Tomorrow, the first formed Freshman Leadership Organization, was established 33 years ago in 1991. This organization served as an inspiration for many new organizations to form throughout the Texas A&M’s history. We, as an organization, impact the university through campus-wide programs such as FLO’s Got Talent, Cultural Leadership Festival, TEDxTAMU, and many more. Once members leave MSC ALOT, they go on to do so much more, such as becoming Yell Leaders, MSC Presidents, Fish Camp Chairs, leaders in other organizations on campus, and successful individuals in their fields of study.
MSC ALOT is dedicated to developing excellent student leaders. MSC ALOT hosts six sub-committees in which students go on a leadership journey by organizing, putting on, and running the organization’s programs. These sub-committees are Serving Our Community Kindly (SOCK), Big Leadership Trip (BLT), FLO Member Outreach (FLOMO), Culture Through the Arts (CTA), Speak, and Development.
In addition to working on major campus programs, our freshmen members are placed in small groups called families with two sophomore Group Leaders (ALOT “parents”). Families allow our members to meet new people, have fun, make lasting bonds and friendships, and transition to college life while growing as an individual. MSC ALOT also has a Big-Little Program, where freshmen are matched with mentors. The program is designed around freshmen having a steady mentor throughout the year to help transition into college and MSC ALOT. Our members also participate in a number of others events including a football tailgate, retreats, end of the year banquet, Family Weekend, and monthly socials called Month Buddies.
